"At age 13, Jimmy my son, was hit by a truck. He was in a coma for six months with the right side of his skull crushed, the optic nerve severed, and his whole right side paralyzed. For two years he went through many kinds of therapy, but he was still confined to a wheelchair. Still hoping that Jimmy could improve further, I signed him up at the Institute of Equestrian Therapy. A few months later Jimmy was sitting upright and riding a horse. He began to walk with a large quad cane. Before that he couldn't seem to build up the muscles to walk again and his balance was so bad. After two years of of therapeutic riding Jimmy was walking without a cane and his right hand started moving again."

"Equestrian Therapy is something so beneficial that it deserves to be funded more than a lot of other things. It is certainly not just recreation. Jacque's program is as therapeutic or more so than anything else I can think of."

"Equestrian Therapy has been a tremendous addition to our client's in-house therapeuitc program. We have been so impressed with the increase in body awareness, sense of balance, and awareness of their environment, that we now include equestrian therapy in our state mandated individualized program plans. At this point in time, equestrian therapy is as much a part of our total program as physical and occupational therapy."
