More about this center
About the Program
Helene and Richard Davis founded the ranch with their daughter, Kristine Aguirre, who now runs it, according to Observer and Hometown News reports. The IRS recognized it as tax-exempt in 2008, and ProPublica shows a filing for fiscal year 2025. The Observer has described it as a PATH International member center, and the ranch's website says each program is taught by PATH International Certified Instructors.
A 2021 Observer profile reported that riders come in groups of no more than three, ride for 30 minutes and spend another 15 minutes with their horse, and that each session includes one riding skill and one life skill. The website says riders work with the same horse, volunteers and instructors each session.
Stable Moments and Veterans
Stable Moments is a mentor program for foster and adopted children that combines equine facilitated learning with community mentorship, with weekly sessions and an individual plan for each child, according to the website. The ranch also lists a veterans equine program, and said in 2023 that the trails next to its new property would let it offer trail rides to its veterans group. See our guide to equine therapy for veterans.
Location
The ranch is at 3310 W. State Road 40 (West Granada Boulevard), Ormond Beach, FL 32174, on a property of about 9 acres west of I-95 that backs up to Tiger Bay State Forest. It bought the land in July 2023 after zoning disputes at its former 5-acre site on John Anderson Highway in Flagler Beach.
A December 2025 Hometown News report describes the move as complete and says the new site has a covered arena, a pond and grazing room for the horses.
