Facility and Setting
Bit of Hope Ranch operates on a scenic 50-acre ranch at 5001 CR Wood Road, Gastonia, North Carolina. The facility includes riding arenas, barns, pastures, trails, wellness spaces, educational facilities, and rescued horses that participate in therapeutic and educational programming. The Ranch provides a safe, welcoming environment where participants engage in mounted and ground-based equine-assisted activities tailored to their individual goals.
The organization is supported by licensed counselors, equine specialists, certified riding instructors, volunteers, and carefully selected therapy horses. In addition to serving clients, the Ranch rescues horses and helps them recover to become trusted partners in the healing process.
What Makes Them Unique
Bit of Hope Ranch stands out for its integrated Trauma Care & Recovery model, combining equine-assisted therapy with evidence-based counseling, adaptive riding, coaching, mind-body therapies, and faith-integrated support. This whole-person approach addresses mental, physical, and spiritual wellness while helping participants move from crisis toward healing and resilience.
Another distinguishing feature is the Ranch’s commitment to both people and horses.
