More about this center
About the Program
According to its website, the center is a PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center, riding lessons are taught only by PATH Intl. certified instructors, and it lists the American Hippotherapy Association among its associations. It says it has ongoing programs for about 60 riders. Executive Director Kerstin L. Fosdick is a licensed physical therapist, and the center says it is registered as a physical therapy facility with the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Classes group two or three riders of similar age and ability. Lessons usually last 20 to 45 minutes, with an instructor, a volunteer horse leader and one or two sidewalkers. Riders are encouraged to come once a week at the same day and time.
Getting Started

Families who need help with fees can apply for a scholarship, which uses a sliding scale based on household income and size and runs May 1 to April 30. Read our guide on how to choose a center for more questions to ask.
Volunteering
The center relies on volunteers for horse leading, sidewalking, spotting, horse care and barn chores. Volunteer training is held on Saturdays.
