About This Program
Greenlock Therapeutic Riding Center offers both therapeutic riding and hippotherapy programs designed to support individualized therapy goals. The therapeutic riding program focuses on skill development such as balance, coordination, attention, motor control, and confidence-building through structured horseback riding activities. The program is designed to serve participants of varying ages and diagnoses, with individualized plans tailored to each rider’s needs.

Facility and Setting
Greenlock is located on approximately 26 acres of fields and woodlands in Rehoboth, Massachusetts. The facility includes an indoor riding arena, outdoor riding ring, stables, and wooded trail areas that support both therapeutic and recreational equine activities.
The setting is designed to be calm, safe, and clinically supportive, with therapy horses living on-site and dedicated spaces for both mounted and unmounted therapy work. The environment allows for year-round programming and structured therapy delivery in a natural, low-stress setting.
What Makes Them Unique
Greenlock stands out for its dual integration of formal clinical therapy services (OT, PT, SLP-supported hippotherapy) alongside therapeutic riding within a single accredited equine-assisted program. This allows participants to transition between clinical treatment and skill-based riding within the same organization.
Its long-standing history since 1989 and PATH International Premier Accreditation also contribute to its strong reputation and stability in the field of equine-assisted services. The program’s ability to serve a high volume of clients weekly further highlights its scale and community impact.
