About EquiTherapy

Youth Horsemanship
Adopt-a-Horse is a free program for children ages 6 to 10 that mentors them in horse management, classical English riding, and hunter and dressage competition. New students are accepted each year, with an orientation on the last Saturday in February and classes starting the first Tuesday of March in two Tuesday afternoon groups. The center also hosts dressage and hunter shows and runs Team Red, a free year-round program on Monday evenings that teaches practical skills with hand and power tools to youth ages 10 to 19.

The center lists 255 acres of rolling grounds with pasture, woods, creek and miles of developed trails. Facilities include a 28-stall stable, a 135 by 210 foot indoor arena, a 150 by 275 foot outdoor arena, two observation rooms, restroom and shower facilities, and trailer parking. Volunteers from Jacob's Well Fellowship, an interdenominational Christian fellowship, serve as the center's volunteer labor force.
