According to its website, Victory offers therapeutic riding, physical therapy and counseling for people at all life stages with a range of physical and emotional needs. Its North Texas Giving Day profile describes therapeutic riding and physical therapy that incorporates hippotherapy, a treatment approach led by licensed physical, occupational or speech therapists.
A 2022 Community Impact article said the center's instructors are certified through PATH Intl. and that more than 150 volunteers assist riders during sessions. The same article said the center had started serving girls who survived human trafficking through a partnership with the nonprofit Traffick911.
Horses for Heroes
Horses for Heroes provides equine-facilitated psychotherapy and therapeutic riding for military veterans and their families. The program page lists PTSD, depression, anger management, reintegration and family counseling among the concerns it addresses, along with physical injuries such as traumatic brain injury and amputation. History
TexVet says the center was founded in 1992 by Doug and Vivian Newton as Rocky Top Therapy Center. A 2022 Community Impact article described large indoor and outdoor arenas and a 17-horse barn, and a volunteer told CBS Texas in 2024 that the barn carries about 19 or 20 horses.
