Center Overview
American Therapeutic Riding Center (ATRC) is a nonprofit equine-assisted activity center in Sand Springs, Oklahoma, offering year-round riding and horsemanship programs for children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional support needs. The center provides a warm, inclusive environment where participants can build confidence, develop new skills, and experience personal growth through meaningful interactions with horses.
With dedicated staff, trained volunteers, and well-trained therapy horses, ATRC focuses on creating safe, enriching experiences that help riders strengthen balance, coordination, social skills, and emotional well-being. The organization is deeply community-driven and continues its mission with the support of volunteers, donors, and local partners.
