The Community Association for Riders with Disabilities (CARD) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with physical, cognitive, and emotional challenges through therapeutic horseback riding.
Founded in 1969, CARD provides adaptive riding lessons led by certified instructors and supported by trained volunteers, helping participants build strength, coordination, confidence, and social connection. The unique bond between horse and rider fosters healing, empowerment, and joy in a safe, inclusive environment. Beyond therapy, CARD promotes education, volunteer engagement, and community awareness, remaining a leader in equine-assisted services and a trusted space where ability, growth, and inclusion thrive.
