Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa (TROT)

About

Therapeutic Riding of Tuscaloosa (TROT) is a nonprofit organization providing equine-assisted activities and therapies for children and adults with physical, cognitive, and emotional disabilities. Through individualized sessions led by certified instructors and supported by volunteers, TROT helps participants improve balance, coordination, communication, and confidence while building meaningful connections with horses. The program’s supportive, inclusive atmosphere promotes personal growth, independence, and a strong sense of accomplishment.
Deeply rooted in the Tuscaloosa community, TROT partners with families, schools, and healthcare professionals to expand access to equine-assisted therapy and demonstrate the powerful impact of the horse-human relationship on healing and well-being.
