More about this center

About the Program

According to its website, TRC was founded in 1990 by community volunteers led by David Allen, starting with one horse. It says it was certified through NARHA (now PATH Intl.) in 1992 and became a 501(c)(3) the same year.

Huntington Beach lessons take place in a private arena at Huntington Central Park Equestrian Center. Classes run weekly and last about 45 minutes. TRC says it served over 140 students per week at its Huntington Beach site by the end of 2025. Its equine-assisted psychotherapy is led by mental health professionals working with equine specialists.
