More about this center
About the Program
According to its website, Star Horses enhances the physical, emotional and social well-being of individuals through adaptive horseback riding and equine-assisted services. Private sessions last 45 minutes and pair the client with a certified riding instructor and up to three assistants as needed. The Brush and Breathe class is non-mounted and focuses on grooming and spending calm time with the horses.
The site says sessions are not canceled for heat or rain. Instead they may move to an air-conditioned, heated indoor classroom or to grooming and horsemanship work in the barn. Families new to therapeutic riding can read our guide on how to choose a center.
