About the Program
According to its website, the ranch was founded in 2011 by Patty D'Andrea and held its first session in January 2012. It says it has held PATH Intl. Premier Accredited Center status, maintained annually, since 2018, and that its instructors and equine specialists are PATH certified.
Its counseling groups use ground-based work with horses, not riding, and are led by a licensed clinician with a certified Equine Specialist in Mental Health and Learning, in groups of 5 to 8. Read more about equine-assisted psychotherapy.
In 2025 the ranch became an equine sanctuary, which it says means each horse will live out its days there.
Getting Started
Enrollment opens in set periods. When it is closed, families can join the Services Interest List on the ranch's Apply for Services page.
Adaptive riding runs year-round on a monthly tuition system of four sessions a month, and clients keep their spot for as long as they continue. Sessions run between 9am and 7pm, with no adaptive riding on Mondays. Fees follow an income-based sliding scale, and the ranch does not bill insurance or agencies directly.
The Veteran and First Responder program offers adaptive riding and equine-assisted learning to active duty military, veterans and first responders at no out-of-pocket cost, according to the ranch.
